Madeline Lear is a documentary photographer and filmmaker studying History and Video Production at Harvard University. She served as the photo/video editor for The Harvard Crimson, and has interned for The Sacramento Bee and The Patriot Ledger in Quincy, MA. In 2016, the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ) awarded her photo essay on urban farmers in Sacramento the feature photography prize for a large university in the New England region. The year prior, the Associated Collegiate Press awarded her story about ROTC at Harvard an honorable mention in the national Multimedia Story of the Year category. She speaks fluent Spanish.
